Convocatoria a Pedagogía 2015 (versión en inglés)

Esteemed Colleague:

The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cuba and the Convention Center of Havana, under the auspices of regional and international organizations associated with education, are pleased to announce the next edition of the Pedagogical Congress to be held January 26^th to 30^th, 2015 at the great convention hall that hosts Havana events.

As always, this new edition calls together all educators and provides a substantial occasion to continue promoting integration among our countries, exchanging experiences, pooling our strengths and efforts in order to make reality the goals agreed to at the regional conferences, as an example of cooperation in solidarity with our struggle for a better world.

The complexity of today’s world, with its serious economic and social contradictions, the accelerated development of science and technology, the battle to eradicate illiteracy as an initial step to attain universal access to a quality education without exclusions, all constitute indispensible premises to take into consideration in our search for ways that promote sustainable development in our countries.

In this endeavor, education must play a principal role; this demands that we propose strategies and approaches that are genuinely integrating and humanistic, to serve as useful instruments to better understand today’s world in facing the challenges that rise up before the peoples of this century.

With this hypothesis, we call upon teachers, professors, educators, researchers and directors in the region to participate in Congreso Pedagogia 2015. Its aim will be fulfilled as soon as we are able to attain a broad-based exchange of experiences that promote the achievement of quality life-long education for all, via cooperation in solidarity for the formation of citizenry, respect for cultural diversity, national identity and the formation of generations with superior universally accepted human values.
